Brand & Product Photography - Portland, Oregon - Barrier+
Barrier+ Skincare describes itself as backed by science and inspired by nature. This is the exact feeling that the founder, Razi, wanted to reflect in the product and brand photos.
While we were planning the photoshoot for her brand, she described her vision of a lush, emerald Pacific Northwest forest environment — Ferns, moss, tall trees, rich color tones, and deep greens and turquoises.
We decided to do the photo session in one of my favorite photo locations in Portland: The Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum.
You can spend hours wandering the winding paths, immersed in the breath of the trees. A perfect forest backdrop, with a whole new magical world around every turn. Redwoods, low swooping cedar branches, more colors of moss than you could dream up, patches of fog and rays of light coming through the trees. Deep stillness — Peace.
The day of the shoot, it was raining and a little foggy, which only added to the moody vibe we wanted. We embraced the weather and had so much fun following the flow of creativity while shooting these photos.
The end result is creative product photography and founder photos that reflect the soul of the brand, rich in spirit, drawing inspiration from nature.
