Lifestyle product shoots are some of our favorite photo projects to plan and deliver.

Every session is a little different, but our planning process usually goes like this:

1 - Getting to Know Our Client’s Brand

Through a series of calls and emails, we get to know our client and brand in a way that goes beyond just metrics and words on a page. This includes learning about the driving inspiration behind the brand, their marketing goals, their customer base, their dream projects. This all happens through conversation. Through the course of conversation, ideas start to form and that creative buzz that we adore starts ramping up.

2- Planning the Photoshoot Details

This includes finding the perfect location for the photo session, somewhere that is the perfect backdrop for the brand’s vibe. It also includes connecting with models, creating a moodboard, shot list, sourcing props, and scheduling everything. This process is multi-step and always looks a little different based on the project.

3- The Brand Photo Session

My favorite part!! We come into the day prepared with a general shot list - the ideal images we’d like to get, and a moodboard to direct the overall feel for the images. With those things in mind, we let creativity and inspiration lead the way. Almost all of my favorite images from every shoot are the ones that aren’t planned, but that the creative muse led to. The importance of going with the flow can’t be overstated! As the shoot goes on, we move through different settings, vignettes, poses, ideas, etc, creating a large gallery of diverse imagery to choose from. I also love having music and snacks on hand when possible!

4- Post-Production

After the session is over, it’s time for post-production. This includes sorting through all the images (usually thousands), to choose the very best ones. Then, I have a very involved editing & retouching process that is a large time investment. I love editing photos and seeing the final, polished results!

5- Gallery Delivery

We upload all of the final images for delivery in highest-resolution to an online gallery. I loveeee scrolling through all of the images when the project is complete!!
