We loved filming, photographing, and editing a sizzle reel for a live performance by Dirtwire at Green Anchors here in Portland, Oregon.

Concert photography and filming live shows is always sooo much fun, but this show had a really special kind of energy. The crowd was so vibrant and full of magic, joy, and fully engaged in every moment. 

Shooting live performances like this is one of our favorite kinds of photo / video work. The music, movement, lighting, and connection between the band and the audience - The energy builds, expands and flows with every second. The feeling is unmatched.

One of the highlights was watching Migizii Kwedance during the set. She was completely in tune with the music and energy, channeling spirit, ancestors, divinity. 

The venue itself made the night even more special. Green Anchors sits on what used to be a superfund site in Portland, Oregon. The caretakers of the land have transformed it into this lush garden space filled with overflowing gardens, art installations, handmade structures, winding paths, and unexpected details everywhere you look. It’s a dream location for photography and filming.
